Shooting: Police urge Enugu residents not to panic

Enugu State Police Command has encouraged occupants of Enugu not to freeze as it does a two-day shooting exercise at its shooting range.

The order additionally encouraged inhabitants to avoid the range situated behind Superior Police Officers Mess, Agbani Road, inside Enugu city.

The Command’s representative, SP Ebere Amaraizu, said in an announcement on Tuesday in Enugu that the activity would start from 8am on Wednesday.

“Courses of action have been closed for an effective lead of shooting range practice composed by the direction through Police Mobile Force Squadron 3.

“The activity is intended for work force of Police Mobile Force Squadron 3 drawn from different divisions and developments over the state under the Quick Intervention Unit (QIU) program as coordinated by the Inspector-General Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris.

“The shooting range program, which is a piece of the preparation, is gone for improving the shooting capacity and abilities of faculty who have been on about a month escalated preparing at the preparation ground of the Police Mobile Force Squadron 3.

“To this end, the direction wishes to advise individuals from people in general, particularly those dwelling inside the range pivot, not to freeze or engage fear amid the activity.”

As per him, it is a normal preparing exercise completed by the order to upgrade the polished methodology of its faculty in weapon taking care of.
