A minister, Kolawole Samson has been condemned to death by hanging for submitting murder.
Capital punishment was articulated on the Pastor by a High Court sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Minister Samson was blamed for murdering one moderately aged man, Ayo Olaniyi, on a homestead settlement inside Oke-Igbo pivot in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of the state.
As indicated by the preliminary appointed authority, Justice Ademola Bola, Pastor Samson was liable of the passing of Olaniyi subsequent to exacting injury on the expired’s head with a cutlass at Gberinlegi town in 2016.
The injury supported during the experience was said to have prompted the demise of Olaniyi at the medical clinic.
Prior, the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, spoke to by two government’s legal counselors, Mr Olusegun Akeredolu and Mrs Omotola Ologun, had told the court that the minister on March 3, 2016, exacted profound cut injury on the head recently Ayo Olaniyi when he went to chase for frogs with his three different companions at a fishpond claimed by the convict at the town, close Okeigbo.
The legal advisors contended that the offense was in opposition to Section 316 and culpable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Laws of Ondo State (2006).
The denounced individual had asserted he was not liable of the offense but rather in his judgment conveyed yesterday, Justice Ademola Bola, decided that all confirmations illustrated under the watchful eye of the court during the preliminary over the most recent four years, demonstrated that Pastor Kolawole was liable of killing Olaniyi.
The appointed authority held that Samson Kolawole should bite the dust by hanging.
