The leader of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has affirmed that Liverpool-claimed midfielder, Ovie Ejaria, needs to play for the nation.
It had detailed that Ejaria has picked the Super Eagles over the English national group.
Pinnick, talking with ESPN, says desk work has just been recorded with world football’s overseeing body, FIFA.
The main deferral is Ejaria’s Nigerian visa which has terminated.
Two out of the five archives NFF must submit to FIFA, are a duplicate of Ejaria’s visa proving his Nigerian nationality and a duplicate of a distinguishing proof confirming his English nationality.
“Yes, he has agreed to play for Nigeria. His documents have been sent to FIFA since,” Pinnick said to ESPN.
