NAF officers, several bandits die in Kaduna battle

Some Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Sector 271 staff and scores of bandits passed on Saturday in Kaduna.

The fight happened at Ungwan Laya close to Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.

In an articulation, NAF Director of Information, Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle Daramola, said troops had the option to thwart a trap.

Daramola noticed that officials who supported differing levels of wounds are getting treatment.

Head of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao, has mourned with the group of the fallen legends.

The CAS has likewise visited the harmed staff at the emergency clinic.

He encouraged soldiers to stay unfaltering and keep on working with other security organizations to free the Northwest of every criminal component.

The Kaduna government affirmed that NAF directed furnished observation in Birnin Gwari and Giwa neighborhood government territories.

The areas were Gajere, Sabon-Kuyello, Ungwan Farinbatu, Sabuwa, Kutemeshi, Dogon-Mu’azu, Dogon-Dawa, Kidandan, Sabon-Birni, Galadimawa, Rikau, Yadi, Kuduru, Nacibi, Farin-Ruwa and connecting settlements.

Official for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan, in a proclamation said bandits distinguished with groups of steers at Galadimawa South were disposed of.

“Similarly, bandits were sighted at Nacibi fleeing southwards on motorcycles; they were engaged accordingly and neutralized.

“A group of huts observed to be active with bandits was engaged with rockets”, the official added.
