An authority of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA, Emmanuel Mekuri, supposedly killed himself today July 5, after he had wounded his 37-year-old darling, Patricia Ogunshola, in their condo around Zoo zone, Araromi in Lagos state.
An announcement discharged by Bala Elkana, representative of the state police order, said at about 1pm today, men of the Morogbo Police Station got a pain call that Emmanuel, 47, wounded his sweetheart, Patricia on her correct thigh, with a Jackknife and simultaneously, cut himself too, prompting his passing.
”Alarm was raised by the 13 years old daughter of the woman (whom she got from a previous marriage), which drew the attention of neighbours to the scene. In her statement, the girl stated that the deceased person, whom she referred to as her step father, made further attempts to stab her mother on the head but she quickly ran out of the room. That he subsequently stabbed himself on the stomach, his intestines gushed out and he died on the spot.
On arrival at the scene, homicide detectives preserved the crime scene and rushed the injured woman to the hospital for medical attention. She is currently in stable condition. The corpse of the deceased person was evacuated to mortuary for autopsy. A blood stained knife was recovered from the scene.”
As indicated by Bala, fundamental examination uncovered that the couple began living together in February, 2020, yet they were not lawfully hitched. He said there was an extended contention between the couple that deteriorated into physical attack suspected to have emerged from charges troubling on betrayal with respect to the man.
Bala said the state Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu psc has requested the prompt exchange of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department Panti, Yaba for circumspect examination.
This occurrence comes fourteen days following a 39-year-elderly person, Chris Ndukwe, wounded his fiancee, Olamide Alli, to death before ending it all in his condo in Victory Park, Lagos.
