An Ex-Vice-Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Prof. Serene Njoku, has recommended that water-trap innovation be received to prevent herders from open touching. This, he stated, would end the conflicts amongst them and ranchers.

Njoku ascribed the continuous conflicts amongst herders and ranchers to a conflict of culture and rights pull in veritable want for survival.

Njoku, an agric master, made the entries in his address titled, ‘Assisting information: Potentiating sustenance security for national improvement,’ at the eighth conference and silver celebration of the college.

He said the lasting conflicts amongst agriculturists and herders were regularly lighted as herders practiced their way of life of being portable and nourishing their creatures.
