A Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt has remanded the previous Managing Director of the Rivers State Micro Finance Agency, RIMA Ipalibo Sogules.
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike had sacked Sogules alongside 3 different heads of division over supposed misrepresentation.
It reports that Chief officer A.O Amadi-Nna requested the remand of Sogules and three others; Nimi Harry, Ukele Ujorji and Sofiri Koko who were accused of supposed trick and propelled charge extortion of more than thirteen million naira.
Equity Amadi-Nna denied bail to the respondents in spite of a few supplications from their Counsel.
In any case, State Counsel, Chidi Ekeh, demanded that the respondents be remanded dependent on the two charges, including that the court needs locale to engage the issue.
The Chief Magistrate alluded the case document to the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP for prompt and dismissed the case to the sixth of July 2020 for notice.
