My name is Azuka Alessandro Chinedum Ejikeme. I hail from Aboji village in Oba, Idemili South of Anambra State, Nigeria. I’m the first born son of Mr and Mrs Chukwudi and Ogechukwu Ejikeme. I was born on the 27th of September, 1997.
I had my primary education at Graceville Nursery and Primary School, Alagbado, Lagos and moved on to Mamre Group of Schools to complete my primary school education and JSS1. I then moved to Tomia Community Secondary School where I completed my secondary school education in by 2014. All through my nursery, primary and secondary school days, I was regarded as one of the best students. In my SSS2 days, I was ranked among the best three students of essay writing in the whole of Lagos State. I also went on, in my SSS3 days, to become the Laboratory Prefect.
I gained admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, my dream school, to study Public Administration, in the year 2017. Due to my leadership qualities, I was immediately appointed and later elected as Class Representative, a position which I held gallantly for 2years. This position did not determine from academic excellence as I was always banging in As, Bs and Cs, making me one of the best students with a CGPA of not less than 4.0.
Due to the fact that I am politically inclined, I moved for SUG PRO in my Yr2 days but it was futile as one of my course mates was moving for SUG President. In my Yr3 days, I lost the bid to for the post of faculty president, but, due to my relentless nature, moved for departmental president. The position was keenly contested for by my course mate and friend who I won by a margin of 17 votes, making me the 16th president of National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPAS).
I also went on to be the secretary General of the Council of Departmental Presidents (CODP) and even became a co-host in the just concluded movie night of the council.
The journey to final year has not been as moot one but my good grades and my vision about my future keep me strong and vibrant. In my short time in school, I’ve undertaken various jobs in order to keep body and soul together. In my fresher days, I worked as a dry cleaner in two different establishments. I’m my second year, I sold clothing’s which I bought from Main Market, Onitsha and I also sold oil perfume by Suratti. My third year days were struck with Covid19 pandemic and the ASUU strike, so, I did not do business but I learnt fashion designing and am now a fashion designer. In my final year, I’m hoping to go in to recharge card printing and subscription of data, all under the umbrella of House of AACE conglomerate.
I hope I get a well-paying job when I graduate or use my God-given skills and already-existing ideas to get as table and sustainable income from which I can grow.
MY LIFE IS A TESTIMONY
